Organizational Development Manager

Pay Range:

$4,482 - $7,631 Monthly (USD)

Job Summary:

This position will provide a support role within the department reporting to the Vice President, Administration. It will advise management regarding employment issues.

Specific areas of responsibility may include but not be limited to: Training and development of talent across the organization to meet or exceed the identified goals of the company and recognized benchmarking tools, recruitment, hiring, retention, performance management, strategic planning and data analysis are the primary functions of this position.

The position will also work in cooperation with the Corporate Human Resources department with regard to benefits and salary administration, workers’ compensation, administrative complaints, equal employment opportunity and other issues as identified by management.

Job Requirements:
  • BA/BS in Business Administration / Human Resources / Labor Relations.
  • SPHR desirable.
  • 5 years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment with solid understanding and knowledge of Human Resource practices in organizational development, recruitment, policy administration, benefits, employee training, employee relations, State and Federal employment regulations and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Requires excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner.
  • Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be detailed, accurate, well organized, able to multi-task.
  • Ability to work with interruptions while maintaining accuracy of projects.

Millwright

We are currently accepting applications from experienced candidates for immediate placement as a Millwright.

Job Description:
  • Install and move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers and lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Dismantle machines, using hammers, wrenches, crowbars and other hand tools.
  • Assemble and install equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails, using hand and power tools.
  • Construct foundation for machines, using hand tools and building materials such as wood, cement, and steel.
  • Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
  • Assemble machines, and bolt, weld, rivet, or otherwise fasten them to foundation or other structure, using hand and power tools.
  • Mechanically repair cranes (overhead, mobile, rail and track).
  • Repair mobile equipment (rail, rubber tire and track driven).
  • Arc weld.

Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Qualified as Journeyman Level Millwright.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
  • Ability to set up, tear down, and rebuild machinery and equipment.
  • Ability to operate mobile and bridge cranes.
  • Ability to operate forklift.
  • Ability to use all sizes of air impact and electric wrenches, all pipe fitting tools and equipment; i.e. sockets and ratchets, hoists, both electric and manual; jackhammer; cutting torches; welding equipment.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Basic math skills, some exposure to Geometry, Trigonometry preferred.
  • Successful completion of ergonomics evaluation.

Preferred Job Requirements:
  • 4 years experience in Heavy Industrial Plant Maintenance.
  • Able to troubleshoot and repair complex hydraulic systems incorporating proportional and servo valves.
  • Familiarity with predictive maintenance tools (vibration analysis, thermographic imaging, ultra sound, laser alignment, etc).

Pay Range:  $18.56 to $25.67 hourly.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and / or maintaining computer applications to support Evraz Oregon Steel. Analyze and define system requirements, program and test business/manufacturing applications, provide user support, maintain programs, and write documentation and status reports. Participate in the review of documentation, designs and code. Manage small to medium sized projects. Some travel may be required.

Job Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of programming interactive business / manufacturing applications using Java, “C”, Unix, and Relational Databases (MS SQL and Informix preferred).
  • Experience with JUnit and unit testing.
  • BS / BA in Computer Science or related field.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and math skills.

  • Self initiating, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Job Description:
  • Receive, identify, inspect and stock parts.
  • Issue parts to EOS craftsmen.
  • Unload trucks.
  • Input data into Oracle computer systems.
  • Prepare parts for outbound shipment.
  • Perform inventory and cycle-counting of parts.
  • Contact vendors for rush emergency parts, as needed.

Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Knowledge of inventory control and receiving principles.
  • Familiarity with maintenance repair parts and supplies.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Self initiating, well organized, problem solver, with ability to multi-task.
  • Computer literate - Oracle, MPAC, Excel, PC experience a plus.
