Wellness, Education and Other Benefits
In addition to all of the above, Evraz Claymont Steel also provides a number of other benefits at no cost to the employee including Education Assistance and a Wellness Program.
ECS encourages employees to seek additional training and education by reimbursing tuition, fees, and books for classes taken at accredited schools and colleges according to our policy. The one provision: the supervisor must agree that such study will help in the present position, or in some other position at ECS in the future. To be eligible for reimbursement, the following requirements must be met:
- Prior to the first day of class you must complete an Application for Educational Assistance and have it approved by your supervisor.
- Complete the class and obtain a grade of C or better for graded classes, or a certificate of completion for ungraded classes.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Employees and/or family members in need of personal counseling or assistance can take advantage of this confidential program, administered by an outside professional firm. Up to 5 counseling sessions are available at no cost. All services provided are treated confidentially and the identity of clients is not revealed to Evraz Claymont Steel Reasons to call the EAP may include family or marital conflict, alcohol or drug problems, financial stress, and emotional problems. The EAP is provided by Magellan Behavioral Health, 800-523-5668.
Wellness Program
Evraz Claymont Steel offers a comprehensive Wellness Program for all employees including:
- Reimbursements of up to $250 annually (per family) for Health and Wellness related expenses such as gym use, fitness equipment and more.
- Wellness information provided through seminars, bulletin boards and newsletters.
- Annual Onsite Health Appraisals – including fitness testing, health risk appraisals and health coaching.
