Immediate positions are available for Machinist, Millwrights, and Maintenance Operators (Journeyman Electricians).

Applicants should possess valid Red Seal or Alberta Journeyman Certificates. Previous work experience in an industrial manufacturing environment would be beneficial. These are fulltime positions and may include shift work.

Director Technical Services

Evraz, has an opening for a Director Technical Services at the Regina Steel facility. The Director Technical Services oversees the Regina Steel Quality Assurance activities, as well as process and product development initiatives.

He / she will possess a M.Sc. in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering coupled with relevant managerial experience in a steel manufacturing setting.

This individual will possess strong problem solving, communication, managerial and interpersonal skills. A general knowledge of steelmaking and pipeforming, combined with experience in product and process development.

Preference will be given to individuals with proven steelmaking experience, demonstrated ability to set and achieve or exceed goals and meet deadlines.

Electrical Engineering Technologist

Evraz has immediate openings for Electrical Technologists in our Steel Operations in Regina.

If you hold a diploma in Electrical or Electronic Engineering Technology this position is for you.

You will have strong problem solving and communication skills, the ability to function in a team environment and the willingness to work shifts. Previous work experience in an industrial manufacturing setting is an added asset.

As an Electrical Technologist, you will install, maintain, repair, program and service all types of electronic equipment such as PLCs and other electronic devices required in the operation of an efficient production process.

These are full time, rotating shift positions within a Union environment with room for advancement. You will be comfortable working in a fast paced team oriented environment.

Senior Metallurgical Technologist / Metallurgical Technologist

Evraz, has an opening for a Senior Metallurgical Technologist / Metallurgical Technologist at the Research and Development Regina facility.

He / she will possess a Materials Technology Diploma with 5 years of experience or the equivalent.

• Specialized testing equipment for mechanical testing (e.g. impact, tensile, hardness, ring expansion, collapse, structural tensile testing, bend and fatigue).
• Non-destructive analysis methods (e.g. welding (e.g. GMAW, SAW).
• Microstructural assessment (e.g. optical, image analysis, electron, EDX, FIB).
• Corrosion testing (e.g. pH, SSC, HIC).
• Thermal mechanical simulation, and software for data analysis and collection.

This individual will be able to take direction from research engineers when required, and be able to train both junior technologist and engineering co-op students.
